Our Deepest Fear

So in English we had a unit on poetry and I came across this poem again.
It is called Our Deepest Fear, and I love it!

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

—Marianne Williamson
I love this poem, it is so true and so beautiful!!  When we have the courage to succeed and shine, it gives others that courage as well.  It is important to apply that it our lives and to remember it.  It is important to remember that we our Divine Daughters of God and that we ARE gorgeous, talented, brilliant and fabulous.  We need to share that knowledge with others, because it literally can change lives.

PROM!!!!!

So I am fifteen and not yet eligible to date!:) It will so come, but anyway.....
Last Friday was Prom at Pleasant Grove High School and Ashley and Maren both attended and from what I hear had tons of fun!  I am SURE that they will add a post later with that excitement!:)  And Lyssa, I fully expect you to write down your experience at Lehi's Prom! And remember you got that pin, only because you agreed to follow the rules:)
So anyway....  The night of prom, Alyssa(going to a different prom), Wen-Di (who is fifteen too) and I decided to have a pity party.  We started out at Lyssa's house pretty much eating a ton of food and just chilling, but then we received inspiration!!! The Disney Movie Prom, came out on April 29, (Today was April 30) and we thought can we have a better pity party than going to the movie Prom?!?!  We thought not!!!!:)
So the earliest showing was at 9:45, and we decided to wear our pajamas, hoodies and put our hair up in messy ponytails!  We were oober comfy!! (unlike certain peoples at Prom:)  and we bought tons of popcorn and were pretty much pigging out the whole time!  The movie was SO funny and BEYOND cheesy but we had SOOOOO much fun!!! We stayed out later than a lot of prom people seeing that we got home after midnight!  We got a picture by the movie poster and it was for SURE a highlight of my week!
SOOOO SICK!!!!
